Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on general dentistry, implant dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery and sedation dentistry. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical documentation, and various dental software systems. Prior experience with EMR systems such CURVE is preferred. The position involves chairside assisting, radiography, and maintaining clinical aseptic techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, implant, prosthodontic, and sedation dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop X-rays and other medical imaging as required, adhering to HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards Perform chairside assisting including vital signs measurement and medical documentation Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medical coding when necessary Support the dental receptionist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow Utilize 3D ITERO scanner when applicable for treatment planning or diagnostics Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to effectively communicate with team members and patients Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Familiarity with EMR systems such as CURVE is advantageous Experience with implant dentistry, general dentistry, oral surgery, invisalign, lab work is preferred Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic technique is essential Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately and safely Strong understanding of medical terminology and medical documentation standards Experience with dental assisting certifications or relevant training programs is a plus Join our team to provide compassionate patient care while advancing your career in a supportive environment that values professionalism, technical expertise, and continuous learning.
