Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Utilize Softdent and Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management. Conduct vital sign checks and assist with medical imaging as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to patient treatment. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Stay updated on the latest developments in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Experience Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding is advantageous. Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, and infection control protocols is essential. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus. Ability to effectively communicate with patients regarding their care plans and treatment options.
