Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist the dentist as to ensure a smooth workflow in the dental office. Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients. Provide care tailored to pediatric dentistry when necessary, ensuring comfort and understanding for younger patients. Skills Strong knowledge of dental office procedures and protocols. Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental services. Proficient in aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during treatments. Experience or knowledge in general dentistry is a plus. Ability to accurately assess and record vital signs as part of patient care. Competence in medical imaging techniques for diagnostic purposes. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on building rapport with patients. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
