Carolina Dental is seeking a friendly and organized Dental Front Office Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming experience. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Patient Communication: Greet patients with a warm and welcoming smile, and answer all incoming phone calls promptly and professionally. Scheduling: Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments to maintain an efficient workflow for the dentists and hygienists. Patient Records: Accurately enter and update patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans in our dental software system (experience with Curve is a plus). Billing and Insurance: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits before appointments. Present treatment plans and payment options to patients. Handle billing, process payments, and collect co-pays and outstanding balances. Office Administration: Manage office mail and email, maintain a clean and organized reception area, and oversee office supply inventory. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the clinical team to ensure a smooth and efficient patient flow. Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA and OSHA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Qualifications Experience: Previous experience in a dental or medical office is preferred. Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Software: Proficiency with dental practice management software is highly desirable. Customer Service: A positive attitude and a passion for helping patients. Problem-Solving: The ability to handle patient issues and scheduling conflicts with professionalism and a calm demeanor.
