Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Dental Front Desk/Hygiene Coordinator to join our dental practice. This role is vital in ensuring smooth office operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting clinical staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental and medical terminology, and experience managing electronic health records (EHR) systems. . This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to delivering quality dental care. PREVIOUS DENTAL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and courtesy Schedule appointments efficiently using dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and handle medical billing and collections Manage patient records, including documentation review and accurate data entry into EMR systems like Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information Assist with clinical support tasks such as intake procedures, medical history updates, and care plan documentation Handle multi-line phone systems, answer patient inquiries, and provide excellent customer service Process payments, perform billing tasks, and ensure accurate CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding for procedures Support office operations including filing, faxing, and managing medical records Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate patient care plans and follow-up appointments Facilitate patients with their dental insurance and use of benefits Experience Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is REQUIRED, including roles such as dental receptionist or medical administrative support Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding (ICD, CPT), and health information management systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10-key typing) Knowledge of insurance verification processes and billing procedures Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient community This position offers an engaging work environment where your administrative expertise directly contributes to patient satisfaction and the overall success of the practice.
