Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Orlando, FL

, We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Internationally trained Dentist to join our busy dental practice. This role combines clinical support with front-desk responsibilities to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, dental terminology knowledge, and experience with electronic health records systems. Bilingual abilities and clinical experience are highly valued to enhance patient interactions and service delivery. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using EMR systems Schedule appointments, confirm bookings, and handle patient inquiries via online and multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle collections efficiently while maintaining HIPAA compliance Prepare and review medical records, documentation, and care plans for accuracy and completeness Assist the dental team during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining sterilization protocols, and supporting clinical workflows as such taking digital X-ray. Present treatment plans and negotiate payment with patients Manage front desk operations, including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized office files Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information Support administrative tasks such as intake procedures, dental coding documentation review, and health information management Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting with dental terminology knowledge and dental office management skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of dental coding, insurance verification, billing procedures, and guidelines Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and proficiency in typing Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and patient service orientation Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Bilingual (Portuguese and English) abilities are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively Previous clinic or medical office experience is highly desirable; dental clinic experience is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management practices Certification or training in medical administrative support or medical office management is advantageous This position offers an engaging work environment where your clinical support and administrative expertise will contribute directly to patient satisfaction and operational excellence.
