Registered Dental Assistant - Family Dental Center - Saginaw, MI

Job Summary Our busy office is looking to add an additional Dental Assistant to our family. Registered Dental Assistant is preferred but not required but applicant must have dental assisting experience. We are looking for someone that is looking for their long term work home. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients Prepare and sterilize instruments, adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Proficiency in computer charting and maintaining accurate dental/medical documentation. Conduct preliminary assessments including taking vital signs and gathering medical history from patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders when necessary. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and best practices in general dentistry. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security. Experience with 3-D imaging techniques ,3D scanners and lasers is advantageous. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing dental records accurately. Ability to demonstrate infection control practices consistently throughout daily operations.
