Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional customer service during check-in and check-out processes Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy, addressing patient inquiries promptly Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and explain treatment plans to patients clearly Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems) such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech Assist with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) and billing processes to ensure timely payments and accurate documentation Support clinic operations by coordinating patient intake, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications Ensure compliance with health information management standards and maintain confidentiality at all times Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or healthcare front desk role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing practices Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable Knowledge of insurance verification procedures, Medicare guidelines, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and HIPAA regulations Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and filing Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to create a positive patient experience Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Previous clinic or medical office experience preferred; dental office experience is highly advantageous Knowledge of health information management systems such as Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is beneficial Join our team where your organizational skills and passion for patient care will help us deliver outstanding dental services.
