Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and comfort. The position requires a licensed dentist with experience in general dentistry procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and surgical treatments. Duties Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments using dental terminology and medical imaging techniques. Diagnose dental conditions through patient evaluation, medical records review, and clinical examinations. Provide a wide range of dental treatments including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. Utilize aseptic technique and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs while explaining procedures clearly using appropriate medical terminology. Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care accurately within electronic health records such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar systems. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Stay current with advancements in general dentistry practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Skills Proficiency in dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, including pediatrics-specific procedures and considerations. Experience with oral surgery techniques including dental extractions and infection control measures. Skilled in endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), and other restorative procedures. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed medical records. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with medical terminology necessary for effective communication within healthcare teams. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and infection control protocols. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment, comfort, and education. Experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is preferred.
