Job Title: Dental Assistant Location: Family Dental Arts of Florida, Inc. 5180 Coconut Creek Pkwy, Margate, FL 33063 Pay Range: $18 - $22 per hour (based on experience) Job Type: Full-Time Overview: Family Dental Arts of Florida, Inc. is searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our compassionate and patient-centered dental team. The ideal candidate is friendly, motivated, and capable of adhering to our office policies and procedures. This is a great opportunity for a Dental Assistant who enjoys building patient relationships and providing high-quality dental care in a supportive environment. Responsibilities: As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the dentist and ensuring a smooth, efficient dental care experience for our patients. You will be responsible for the following: Prepare patient treatment rooms before each procedure Assist with four-handed dentistry, ensuring the dentist has the necessary supplies and instruments during procedures Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to OSHA and HIPAA standards Take and process dental X-rays Manage patient records and documentation accurately and efficiently Use Open Dental software to assist with patient scheduling and record management Perform expanded duty functions as permitted by the Florida Board of Dentistry Communicate effectively with patients, providing pre- and post-procedure care instructions Support the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant (required) Proficiency with Open Dental software (preferred) Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA/OSHA regulations Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Every other Saturday Additional Requirements: Must be willing to relocate to Margate, FL, if not already local Ability to work in person and provide hands-on patient care Benefits: Competitive hourly pay of $18 - $22 based on experience Friendly, team-oriented atmosphere focused on patient care and support To Apply: If you’re a compassionate Dental Assistant looking to join a dedicated team, please submit your resume to luis@famdentalarts.com or call 954-603-7919 for more information.
