Duties Perform a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, root canal therapy, dental extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history review, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings. Utilize dental terminology accurately for documentation and communication with patients and team members. Maintain detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure proper documentation of procedures performed. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Use dental fabrication techniques for crowns, bridges, or other prosthetic devices as needed. Collaborate with dental assistants and hygienists to deliver efficient four-handed dentistry. Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing education and training sessions. Adhere to all medical and dental office policies, including HIPAA compliance and proper handling of medical documentation. Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and imaging management. Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, including pediatrics-specific procedures and patient management. Expertise in oral surgery techniques including dental extractions and surgical procedures. Experience with endodontics procedures such as root canal therapy. Ability to perform prosthodontics procedures involving crowns, bridges, dentures, or implants. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control standards. Skilled in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry for diagnosis and treatment planning. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively about treatment options and oral health education. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment with a focus on quality care delivery.
