Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is looking to add you to our team!! We are hiring a Dental Assistant who will manage our supplies and inventory within the Dental Clinic! This position plays a key role in maintaining the efficiency of the Dental Department by managing all aspects of supply inventory and distribution. This position ensures that providers and clinical staff have the right materials, equipment, and resources available to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. While chairside duties may be assigned occasionally, this role is primarily focused on supply chain operations within the dental clinic. Job duties include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Clinical Dental Assistant Duties Receives and prepares patients for dental exam or treatment. Sets up instrument trays, prepares materials, and assists the dentist during dental procedures. Assists in sterilization of instruments. Maintains equipment and instruments through proper cleansing, sterilization, maintenance and storage. Ensures thorough disinfection of all clinical areas and high touch points. Records medical and dental histories and vital signs of patients. Exposes quality dental diagnostic x-rays for patient charts. Creates preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts. Pours, trims, and polishes study casts, fabricates custom impression trays from preliminary impressions, cleans and polishes removable appliances, and fabricates temporary restorations. Assists dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by the dentist. Applies protective coating of fluoride to teeth as prescribed by dentist. Records treatment information in patient records. Prepare all needed equipment and/or instruments for next dayâs clinic. 1.2 Supply Management Dental Assistant Duties Monitors, orders, and maintains adequate inventory of dental supplies to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations. Organizes, labels, and rotates stock to maintain proper supply levels and expiration date compliance. Prepares and sets up sterile trays for next-day procedures in accordance with clinical schedules and infection control standards. Performs routine maintenance, safety checks, and documentation for all dental treatment chairs and related equipment. Assists in organizing and maintaining clinical storage areas for efficiency and compliance. Collaborates with clinical staff to anticipate supply needs and procedural setups. Supports the dental team in ensuring all clinical areas meet infection control and safety standards. Serves as a backup to the clinical dental assistant team. Must align with OKCIC vision, mission and core value High school diploma or GED Current Oklahoma Dental Assistant licensure 2+ year of Dental Assisting Experience preferred Expanded functions certifications : X-ray required, Coronal Polishing preferred, Sealant preferred. Experience in inventory management, supply ordering, or clinical equipment Recent proven experience using Microsoft or Google Suite, specifically Excel or Google Sheets, Powerpoint or Google slides, Word or Google Docs
