MobileSmiles partners with multiple sites statewide to bring dental care and education to underserved populations. There are two pristine dental operatories on each beautiful, modern MobileSmiles dental clinic. Mission statement: Improve and advance oral health for all Oklahomans . Full-time and Part-time Salary or hourly wage: (estimate $17-23/hour) Duties: Prepare and set up operatories prior to treatment Break down and disinfect operatories after treatment Take digital dental x-rays and prepare for viewing Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene and nutritional strategies to maintain good oral health Assist dentist during dental treatment Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment Monitor patient flow Become familiar with electronic dental systems aboard the clinic Become familiar with Oklahoma Medicaid dental organizations Communicate professionally with OKDF dental staff, business staff, site-partners, dental students, and above all – our patients Qualifications: required: dental assistant permit registered with the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry, High School diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, commitment to teamwork. preferred by not required: two years of dental assisting experience, certain expanded duty certificates, CPR certification, infection control training, (some of these preferred qualifications can be obtained post hire) Travel: Expect to travel as necessary to statewide partner-sites. Mileage, tolls and hotel stays will be compensated. Meals are compensated via per diems. Your preference to service certain rural areas of the state will be considered. Benefits: Benefits vary depending on terms of employment but may include: paid holidays and personal days, health insurance and a dental reimbursement plan. A 401K plan is available after one year of employment. Business-related expenses such as permit renewal, certifications and other required trainings will be reimbursed.
