Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive first impression Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance coverage, process insurance claims, and handle billing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Manage patient records accurately, review documentation for completeness, and update electronic health records (EHR systems) including eClinicalWorks or similar platforms Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and routing calls appropriately Perform administrative tasks such as filing dental records, managing medical documentation review, and maintaining organized office files Assist with insurance verification, intake procedures, and collection of payments to support efficient clinic operations Requirements Proven experience as a Medical or Dental Receptionist with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative support Familiarity with dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times Ability to handle medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance verification accurately and efficiently Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills such as 10-key typing for data entry tasks Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations Previous clinic or dental office experience with familiarity in medical coding, documentation review, and health information management preferred Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience working with multi-line phone systems, filing systems, and medical records management in a healthcare setting Join us in delivering outstanding patient care by providing exceptional administrative support!
