Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting orthodontists in delivering high-quality treatment. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients. (Willing to train a dental assistant) Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including the placement and adjustment of braces and other orthodontic appliances. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform dental imaging and assist with 3D scanning as needed for treatment planning. Document patient information accurately, including medical history and treatment progress, adhering to medical documentation standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal results. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of orthodontic procedures. Familiarity with medical coding, medical terminology, and medical documentation is advantageous. Knowledge of endodontics and infection control practices is essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Proficiency in using 3D scanners and other dental imaging equipment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
