Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside support by managing dental supplies, handling medical documentation, and recording detailed notes in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure a positive experience Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote understanding and compliance Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medical coding for billing purposes in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current certification Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or specialty areas such as endodontics or prosthodontics Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices safely and effectively Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and other clinical staff Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care Join us as an RDA where your dedication will help craft healthier smiles while advancing your career in a vibrant, supportive environment.
