Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Dental Hygienist to join our new dental practice. Boca Center Dental is opening Feb 2 2026 and we are looking for a dental hygienist that will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role offers flexibility for those passionate about pediatric and general dentistry, with opportunities to utilize advanced dental technology and collaborate with a skilled team. The position emphasizes adherence to infection control protocols, patient safety, and accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. This part time role will transition into a full time role as the office continues to grow in the first year. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and assess patient health status prior to treatment. Assist the dentist during various procedures including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques. Operate dental imaging equipment to capture intraoral and extraoral radiographs while ensuring patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatments performed using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through proper aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with medical coding standards. Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and maintain a professional demeanor at all times. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist. Proven experience in dental office environments, preferably with pediatric dentistry experience. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology. Strong patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach toward patients of all ages.
