We are looking for a dental assistant to join our team who lives our core values of integrity, teamwork, and kindness. Our full-time team works four days per week, Monday - Thursday. We will provide training and support to help you feel confident in assisting with a wide range of procedures, including restorative, extractions, root canals, and implants. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to safety protocols Take vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure comprehensive care Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using OpenDental Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions using appropriate dental terminology Assist the admin team to manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when needed by completing tasks including but not limited to scheduling appointments, presenting consent and intake forms. and updating medical records Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times Skills Proficiency with documentation and records management Knowledge of dental software such as OpenDental Experience with processing digital X-ray images, medical imaging, and 3D scanners in a dental setting Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform 4 handed chairside assisting across various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to advance their career in dental assisting within a supportive team dedicated to exceptional patient care.
