Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment - Take digital dental X-rays - Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding and updating medical records - Utilize dental software systems such as Dexis and Dentrix - Follow aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe environment - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care Experience: - Minimum of 5 year experience as a Dental Assistant - Proficient in HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality - Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy - Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Dexis - Ability to take digital dental X-rays Skills: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Compassionate and caring demeanor towards patients - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
