Permanent Dental Assistant Job in West Hollywood, CA

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care across various specialties including general dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. Experience with Eaglesoft is preferred. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining efficient clinic operations while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, periodontic, and oral surgery treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA and infection control standards Manage patient records within Eaglesoft ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent infection Assist with the operation of advanced equipment such as 3D scanners, specifically Itero, when necessary Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experience Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or working within a dental clinic environment Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Certification or experience in radiography (X-ray) procedures preferred Familiarity with general, perio, endo and oral suirgery practices is a plus Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively with the dental team Demonstrated reliability and strong teamwork skills, with the ability to consistently show up on time, support colleagues and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
