Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and perform insurance verification using systems like Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing instruments and maintaining sterilization protocols Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Athenahealth Handle medical billing and collections, including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare claims processing Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards Maintain organized dental and medical records, file documents appropriately, and ensure confidentiality at all times Support front desk operations including check-in/check-out processes, patient intake, and appointment reminders Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, typing reports, filing paperwork, and using Microsoft Office tools for documentation purposes Assist with office management duties like inventory control, supply ordering, and maintaining a clean clinical environment Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Medical Receptionist in a dental or healthcare setting with clinic experience preferred Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Athenahealth is highly desirable Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical billing procedures Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and private insurers Demonstrated ability to handle medical administrative support tasks efficiently while providing excellent patient service Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health information management software Exceptional phone etiquette skills with the ability to manage multi-line phone systems confidently Prior hospital or healthcare office experience is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for specific software tools like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Join our team where your skills will make a meaningful difference!
