Job Overview As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice while providing exceptional care to our patients. You will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and help create a welcoming environment for all. Your expertise in dental terminology and procedures will be essential as you work closely with both the dental team and patients to promote oral health and comfort. What youâll do Assist dentists during examinations and various dental procedures, ensuring a seamless workflow. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and maintaining an organized environment. Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records using Open Dental Provide chairside assistance, including four-handed dentistry techniques, to enhance efficiency during treatments. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Support front desk operations by performing dental receptionist duties when necessary. Basic qualifications Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records, and medical coding practices. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Positive attitude and patient-focused approach Preferred qualifications Dental Assistant certification or relevant experience Proficiency in using 3D scanners for dental imaging. Knowledge of prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry practices. Understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health.
