Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment procedures Take and develop dental X-Ray; and also maintaining proper infection control protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort Review and update medical records accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) office practice management software. Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to protect patient confidentiality and safety Skills Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control standards Experience with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding Should have understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and pediatric patient care strategies Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment with compassion Knowledge of general dentistry procedures, medical terminology, and documentation review processes Skilled in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting and aseptic technique implementation Familiarity with medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and infection prevention protocols Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding dental hygiene services that improve lives!
