Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental clinic team for Mondays (9am-6pm). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring compliance with all health regulations and standards. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient management, and the ability to work efficiently within a clinical setting. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients, including scaling and polishing teeth. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care to promote overall dental health. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of medical records and documentation of patient treatment plans. Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Utilize Dentrix for maintaining patient information. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies to enhance patient care. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Experience working in a dental clinic environment is preferred. Proficiency in Dentrix software is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
