Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all materials are ready for patient procedures Assist dentists during various treatments including cleanings, restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation when necessary for patients with special needs or pediatric cases Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and infection control protocols Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and medical records management is a plus Strong understanding of anatomy, dental assisting techniques, aseptic procedures, and dental radiography including X-ray safety protocols Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is highly desirable Ability to perform medical imaging procedures such as 3D scanning and general dentistry tasks efficiently Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or front desk assistant; capable of managing patient interactions professionally Certification in dental assisting or relevant coursework; familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards is essential Join us to make a difference in patients’ lives by providing compassionate, expert dental care!
