Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and care. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use following strict aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and up-to-date. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to promote a safe and positive experience. Support infection control protocols by following OSHA guidelines, maintaining sterile fields, and practicing proper disposal of contaminated materials. Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize workflow efficiency and patient care quality. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Epic, or similar EMR platforms for scheduling, documentation, and medical records management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Experience with dental imaging techniques such as X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology used in advanced diagnostics. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to effectively assist in treating young patients with patience and care. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor that puts patients at ease. Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and the ability to document medical coding accurately for procedures performed. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Experience working in general dentistry environments with exposure to prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties is highly desirable.
