Dental Assistant â Job Overview & Responsibilities Warmly welcome and assist patients in the dental office Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort Select, set up, and organize instruments, materials, and equipment as needed Sterilize and maintain instruments according to safety regulations Assist the dentist and clinical team during procedures Provide pre- and post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene guidance Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked Schedule follow-up appointments as needed Record accurate patient notes, photos, X-rays, and lab information Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental assistant (preferred) Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols Familiarity with Open Dental Software (preferred) Understanding of health and safety regulations Expanded functions certification (preferred) Position Details Start Date: Shifts available immediately Office Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday: 8:00 AM â 5:00 PM Tuesday & Friday: 7:00 AM â 2:00 PM Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 2% match Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
