Greet patients warmly, manage patient intake, and ensure accurate appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Verify insurance benefits and perform insurance eligibility checks utilizing systems like Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or EMR systems Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and appointment coordination Manage medical records, perform filing, and maintain accurate documentation review for patient charts and treatment plans Assist with billing processes including medical collection procedures, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and medical billing tasks in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support office management duties such as appointment reminders, patient follow-up calls, and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area Ensure compliance with health information management standards and maintain confidentiality of patient data in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Proven experience in a dental office or medical front desk role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinic procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks; experience with Meditech or Epic is a plus Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing (including 10 key typing) Strong understanding of insurance verification processes, medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), and medical billing procedures Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse patient populations Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management practices to ensure patient privacy and data security This role is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about supporting quality dental care through excellent administrative support.
