Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety before procedures. Provide excellent dental reception support by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and guiding patients through their visit. Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines for safety. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental practices. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is highly preferred. Skilled in taking X-rays and performing intraoral imaging with attention to safety protocols. Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry cases is a strong plus. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Ability to work effectively in four-handed dentistry setups alongside dentists for efficient patient care delivery.
