Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist or Dentist to open a dental clinic at Saguache Dental Clinic. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, examinations, and assessments to evaluate oral health status Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays and other diagnostic tools Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency Review and update medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Conduct vital signs measurements and patient assessments prior to treatment Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Utilize dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record management Support pediatric dentistry needs by creating a comfortable environment for young patients Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care and accurate medical coding Skills Proficiency in dental office management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices Experience in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-related procedures is highly desirable Skilled in dental assisting techniques, including chairside assisting and medical imaging Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation review and updates Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Understanding of general dentistry procedures, medical coding, and documentation review processes Join us at Saguache Dental Clinic where your skills will make a real difference!
