Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix and Open Dental for managing patient information. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred ( not required), with knowledge of dental assisting practices. Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix and Open Dental. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques and aseptic practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
