Join our growing dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you will directly enhance and promote patient care, streamline clinical operations, and work alongside our team to provide essential healthcare to our patients. In this role, you will assist in a variety of procedures including root canals, extractions, and implants. Our office is almost 2 years old, which means the equipment is new, well-maintained, and up-to-date on technology! We see mostly adults with the occasional pediatric patient. You will help to ensure the highest standards of infection control and provide exceptional support to our patients. Experience is preferred, but we are happy to train and teach members new to dentistry! Duties: Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants Take X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records electronically using EMR systems, ensuring accurate documentation of medical and dental histories. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after treatments to support overall health and safety. Provide comprehensive dental assistance by explaining procedures using simple terminology and ensuring patients are well-informed. Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all equipment meets safety standards for general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures. Collaborate with the team on four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient experience. Assist with medical coding and record-keeping for insurance claims or medical records management when necessary. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems for managing patient information efficiently. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently across various specialties including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care and medical documentation standards like Epic or other electronic health records systems. Excellent communication skills suitable for interacting with patients of all ages Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting general dentistry practices while maintaining high standards of infection control and safety protocols.
