Job Overview Our dental practice is looking for a dependable and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and hygienist to deliver quality care, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure patients feel comfortable throughout their visit. Responsibilities Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a high level of patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols. Take digital dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards. Record and update patient information and medical histories in Dentrix. Perform chairside assisting duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Provide clear pre- and post- operative instructions to patients Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques. Skills Experience with dental software, Dentrix is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.. Knowledge of chairside assisting techniques and four-handed dentistry. Ability to recognize vital signs and perform basic medical documentation tasks. Understanding of dental terminology, general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and infection control protocols. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
