Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent knowledge of dental procedures, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. The RDA will support various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, ensuring smooth operations within the clinic. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Record vital signs and medical history, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Assist with medical imaging procedures and understand relevant anatomy for accurate interpretation Support pediatric dentistry procedures when applicable, demonstrating sensitivity to pediatric patientsâ needs Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control standards for general dentistry practice Requirements Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting procedures Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental procedures across various specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics Familiarity with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or similar platforms for medical documentation and records management Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners is a plus Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics when applicable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of medical coding and documentation standards for dental records is advantageous This role offers an engaging opportunity for a motivated RDA committed to delivering high-quality dental care while supporting a collaborative team environment.
