Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take and record vital signs, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their visit. Perform infection control procedures to maintain a sterile environment, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments. Utilize Eaglesoft software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments. Conduct medical imaging as required, including X-rays and other diagnostic tools. Support patients by providing education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Assist with endodontics and prosthodontics procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of these specialties. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with medical records management and documentation practices. Knowledge of infection control protocols and safety regulations in a dental setting. Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks efficiently.
