Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental administrative tasks and excellent communication skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus, as is familiarity with dental terminology and office management software. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in/check-out processes efficiently Schedule appointments and manage patient flow using dental office management software - Curve Dental. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility verification Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle financial transactions accurately Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within Curve. Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and ensuring sterilization protocols are followed Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and medical records Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette Perform administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and clinical space Experience Prior experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment is preferred Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms Familiarity with medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD), insurance verification, and health information management practices Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards Bilingual skills are advantageous to assist diverse patient populations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment Office experience involving clerical support, front desk operations, appointment scheduling, and phone handling is essential This position offers an engaging work environment where clinical support meets administrative excellence.
