Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current health status in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take and interpret dental radiographs ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health habits. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix, ensuring documentation review for completeness. Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of instruments, to uphold safety standards in the dental office. Qualifications Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively.
