Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications efficiently. Schedule appointments accurately while managing multiple-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing tasks using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth. Maintain organized patient records by updating electronic health records (EHR) systems including eClinicalWorks or other EMR platforms. Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper coding using CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes for procedures and diagnoses. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing medical records, managing clinic schedules, and supporting office management activities to ensure seamless clinic operations. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist with clinic or dental office experience preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of dental billing, coding , insurance verification, and health information management. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Eaglesoft, "Dentrix", or Athenahealth is highly desirable. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and typing skills (including 10-key typing). Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently. Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations. Knowledge of dental terminology, HIPAA compliance, and documentation review processes. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office management tasks. .
