Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in dental hygiene. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting dentists during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. Knowledge of EMR systems like, Dentrix, along with proficiency in medical documentation and infection control protocols, is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of dental terminology and anatomy. Responsibilities Take and record vital signs and medical history for patients Prepare treatment room with necessary instruments and materials while maintaining aseptic techniques Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and learn 3D scanners to capture high-quality images for diagnosis Manage electronic health records using EMR systems like, Dentrix while ensuring HIPAA compliance Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records as needed Recognize and respond to medical emergencies by understanding basic medical terminology and vital signs monitoring Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) or equivalent credential Proven experience in periodontal disease recognition Proficiency with dental software systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Knowledge of medical imaging techniques including X-ray and 3D scanning technology Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a clinical setting Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding practices is highly desirable Ability to work collaboratively within a team committed to delivering high-quality patient care This position is integral to providing comprehensive dental services while supporting the overall health and well-being of our patients.
