We are a thriving pediatric dental practice in the Montclair / Bloomfield area looking to add a talented dental hygeniest. We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic dental hygienist who enjoys working with children. Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care - Take and develop dental x-rays - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment Qualifications: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program - Proficient in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic - Knowledge of medical coding systems for billing purposes - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for qualified candidates.
