Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant bilingual (English/Spanish)to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on comprehensive dental care, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The Dental Assistant will utilize advanced dental technology and maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and high-quality service. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms. Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments and updating medical documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Assist with sterilization procedures and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Support administrative tasks such as verifying insurance information, processing medical coding, and managing medical records. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient four-handed dentistry practices and optimal patient outcomes. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and current clinical techniques to enhance patient care. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards is essential. Experience with dental X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and medical documentation practices is advantageous. Certification or training in chairside assisting, aseptic technique, or related fields will be considered a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry procedures is required for success in this role.
