Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient comfort and safety, utilizing advanced dental technology and maintaining strict infection control standards. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental care across general dentistry, and endodontics. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontic treatments, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed Take digital dental X-rays imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort Record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; moni Manage patient flow efficiently Operate dental software systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, and other EMR platforms for accurate record keeping Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care procedures Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to OSHA standards Support four-handed dentistry practices to improve efficiency during procedures Assist with the use of advanced technology such as 3D scanners for diagnostics and treatment planning Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care in general dentistry, pediatrics, prosthodontics, and endodontics Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting Proficiency with dental software systems including Eaglesoft. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively across various specialties such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics Experience taking X-rays and using medical imaging equipment safely Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures including vital signs measurement and medical coding Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages including pediatrics Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred but not mandatory This position offers an engaging work environment where your skills contribute directly to patient well-being.
