Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Lancaster, CA
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant on Tuesdays to Fridays to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for dental procedures. Take X-rays and assist with the use of 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes. Maintain accurate patient records. Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Support endodontic procedures as well as general dentistry tasks. Implement four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Exhibit knowledge of dental anatomy to assist in various procedures effectively. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Proficiency in taking X-rays; familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus. Knowledge of endodontics, general dentistry practices is highly desirable. Experience with Eaglesoft software or similar dental management systems is advantageous. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
