Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take medical imaging, including X-rays and 3D scans, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and addressing their specific needs. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance productivity during procedures. Skills Proficient in medical imaging techniques and systems. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus. Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices and dental terminology. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively. Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Knowledge of infection control standards and HIPAA compliance is essential.
