Job description PERSONALITY MATTERS Our female-owned and managed pediatric practice in Huntington is seeking to hire an exceptional chairside pediatric dental assistant. REQUIREMENTS Positive, warm, and outgoing personality Excellent communication skills Keen attention to detail Well-organized and dependable Utmost respect for patient privacy Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health, safety, and privacy regulations Experience working with children Prior experience as a chairside dental assistant is preferred (we are willing to train the right personality) RESPONSIBILITIES The ideal candidate is reliable, fast-paced, confident, and loves working with children. Your responsibilities include: Assisting the dentist through 4-Handed Dentistry Greeting and seating patients Helping patients feel comfortable Sterilizing instruments according to OSHA regulations Providing post-operative care instructions Taking X-rays Setting up and cleaning rooms Promoting the team concept Helping out in other areas of the office as needed Our Office Hours Are: Monday 8:40 AM-6:00 PM Tuesday 8:40 AM-6:00 PM Wednesday 8:40 AM-6:30 PM Thursday 8:40 AM-6:30 PM Friday 8:40 AM-5:00 PM Saturday 7:40 AM-1:00 PM You will be assigned a fixed schedule, TBD.
