Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Pen Argyl, PA
Overview We are a private practice located in Pen Argyl, and are looking for a full time dental hygienist to join our dental team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and support our patientsâ overall well-being. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment plans Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Support the dental team with chairside assisting during various general dentistry procedures Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification in dental hygiene practices Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles, including working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) Strong understanding of anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques in a dental setting Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while maintaining a compassionate approach Prior experience in dental office or clinic environments demonstrating excellent patient care skills Join us to make a difference in patientsâ lives through exceptional oral health care!
