Seeking full time dental assistant (4 days/week) who is reliable and a proven team player to ensure excellent patient care and become an integral part of our assisting team. Responsibilities Welcome patients into the clinical side of the dental office Prepare patients for surgical/non-surgical treatment ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the doctor through four-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and pre/post operative care instructions Maintain sterile and well stocked operatory Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient paper and electronic medical records Skills Proven experience as a dental assistant (perio experience preferred) Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks (x-rays, recements, etc) Solid computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma and current MA Dental Assisting License Additional certification or training from Dental Assisting Program a plus Days/Hours Tues - Friday 8am - 5pm OR Wed - Friday 8am - 5pm Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $28.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Referral program Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Experience: periodontal: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: MA Dental Assisting License (Required) Ability to Commute: Brookline, MA 02446 (Required) Work Location: In person
