Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Nesconset, NY
Will offer competitive benefits.(Please note benefits would be for full time only!)We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated full-time Dental Hygienist, to join our busy dental practice to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. As a Dental Hygienist, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Dentrix experience a plus!! Hygienist Duties and Responsibilities not limited to: Performs oral assessment of patient to determine dental needs in accordance with accepted dental regulation and guidelines Performs all routine/necessary x-rays, Panorex, and CT Scans Performs dental prophylaxis and sealants, as needed Performs periodontal charting, deep scaling and root planning, as needed Educates patients with regards to preventative care and follow up care as well as general good oral health habits Documents complete information in clinical chart Works together with dentist as team player for benefit of patient Maintain clean, infection free work habits in dental operatories Conducting initial oral screenings and check oral health history Cleaning and helping protect patientsâ teeth Educating patients of all ages on proper teeth care Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Job Type: Full-time Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Education: Associate (Preferred) License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Dental License (Required) Work Location: In person
