Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Albany, NY
We are a dental specialty practice in Albany seeking a dental hygienist (full or part time). Responsibilities: patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays) removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) from all surfaces of the teeth teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling) counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health Sterilize dental instruments and tools Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures performing documentation and office management activities Requirements: Strong communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Customer service skills Excellent time management Motivated to learn software and administrative procedures Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Health savings account Paid time off Professional development assistance Work Location: In person
