Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team part-time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of infection control protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Administer preventive dental care, including fluoride treatments and sealants. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in medical coding and documentation as necessary. Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images of patients’ teeth and gums. Implement infection control measures and aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with dentists in four-handed dentistry procedures to enhance patient care. Provide specialized care for pediatric patients, adapting techniques as needed for comfort and effectiveness. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred. Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential. Proficiency in using Dentrix software for patient management is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical coding practices related to dental procedures is a plus. Experience in performing medical imaging for diagnostic purposes is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
